The San Andrés Golf Club, located in the municipality of Funza within the western savanna of Bogotá, Cundinamarca, stands as one of Colombia's premier historic golfing institutions. Situated at an altitude of approximately 2,548 to 2,600 meters above sea level, the highland plateau environment introduces distinct atmospheric dynamics that cause golf balls to travel 8% to 10% further than at sea level. Benefiting from a localized rain shadow, the venue receives about 25% less precipitation than other areas of the Bogotá basin, offering an exceptional climate for year-round play.
