Uneekor's EYE MINI gets a phone app, and its fall tournament starts Sunday

Qualifying for the Fall Tournament Series runs November 1 to 7 in GSPro, and the new EYE MINI App puts range sessions on your phone.

The takeaway is simple: if you own a Uneekor launch monitor, this week has a deadline. Qualifying for the Uneekor Fall Tournament Series opens Sunday, November 1, and closes November 7. Separately, EYE MINI owners just got something they have wanted for a while, a real phone app for range sessions.

Two pieces of Uneekor news landed in October, and they solve two different problems. One makes the portable EYE MINI easier to use away from a PC. The other gives every eligible Uneekor owner a reason to play competitive golf from their own simulator this winter.

The EYE MINI App: your phone becomes the display

Until now, the EYE MINI story had a gap. The unit itself is portable, with a battery and an on-unit screen, but a full graphical session meant a PC or an iPad. Uneekor now lists phone support for the EYE MINI on iPhone and Android through the EYE MINI App, while the iPad keeps using the VIEW Air app.

Uneekor has not published a full feature list for the phone app yet. A hands-on walkthrough video reviewed by MyGarageGolf shows what it does in practice:

  • Custom data tiles, so you drag the numbers you care about, like club speed, angle of attack, carry, ball speed, and launch angle, onto your main screen
  • A session table with every shot, plus averages and max carry, backspin, sidespin, descent angle, side angle, apex, flight time, and shot type
  • Driving range views with several backgrounds for ball flight
  • A club tab with path overlays, impact location, and impact video you can open full screen
  • A dispersion view showing where your shots group
  • Shot sharing straight from your phone, plus a landscape mode for the ball flight view

Connecting looks painless. The EYE MINI puts out its own Wi-Fi signal, and you scan a QR code on the unit's screen with your phone camera to connect the first time. After that, opening the app finds your EYE MINI again.

Two limits matter. The app is a range and practice tool, not a course player. Full course play still runs on a Windows PC. And the app is for the EYE MINI only. The EYE MINI LITE stays PC-only, since it connects over Ethernet rather than Wi-Fi and has no mobile app support. Lite owners should not expect this app to show up for their unit.

The Fall Tournament Series: five weeks, three divisions, nine winners

The tournament is the bigger news for most Uneekor owners, because you do not need an EYE MINI to play. The series is open to eligible Uneekor hardware owners running GSPro, so EYE MINI, EYE MINI LITE, EYE XO, and EYE XO2 owners can all enter if they meet the software and account requirements.

Qualifying is one round at Koasati Pines, played November 1 to 7. Your ball speed in that round places you in a division, and nobody is eliminated on qualifying score. Divisions are finalized November 8.

  • Division 1: 135 mph ball speed and under
  • Division 2: 136 to 160 mph
  • Division 3: 161 mph and up

The four events follow, each two rounds inside your division:

  • Event 1, November 9 to 15: Koasati Pines
  • Event 2, November 16 to 22: Lookout Point
  • Event 3, November 23 to 29: Royal New Kent
  • Event 4, November 30 to December 6: Conway Farms

Top finishers in each division earn SGT points after every event, and the points add up across the series. After Event 4, the top three players in each division are the series winners, nine in all.

The prizes are real, not just leaderboard glory:

  • First place in each division: a $1,500 gift card to SCHEELS or PGA TOUR Superstore, winner's choice
  • Second place in each division: a VICE Golf package
  • Third place in each division: an MNML golf bag
  • Closest to the pin contests: a custom LetsPlayThru iron set for qualifying winners, and an EVNROLL putter for each event winner, one per division
  • Top Social Shot: five $200 Uneekor swag bags for tournament posts tagged #UneekorFallSeries

What you need before qualifying starts

The checklist is short, but every item needs to be working before you play your qualifying round:

  • An eligible Uneekor launch monitor
  • An active GSPro license running the required GSPro Public Beta
  • A Uneekor Pro Software Package, or a complimentary 3 month trial requested from support@uneekor.com (the trial does not include GSPro, which is sold separately)
  • An SGT account, linked so your scores report correctly

Uneekor's official terms add two eligibility notes. The series is open only to legal residents of the United States who are 18 or older, and all dates and deadlines are in Central Time. Do not leave qualifying to the last day. A lapsed GSPro license or an unlinked SGT account discovered on November 7 is a problem you could have found in five minutes this week.

GSPro itself costs $250 a year as of October 2026, and it is the course software the whole series runs on. Our GSPro guide covers the subscription, the system requirements, and which monitors need a paid connector. Uneekor monitors need the Pro package for third party access, which is exactly why the tournament requires it.

Our take

The app fixes the EYE MINI's weakest everyday moment, the range session where dragging a PC along felt silly for a portable unit. It does not change what the monitor measures, and it does not replace the PC for course play, but it makes the portable promise real.

The tournament is the smarter play for Uneekor as a company. Ball speed divisions mean a 135 mph swinger is not competing against a 170 mph swinger for the same prize, and the closest to the pin contests give everyone five extra chances to win something. If you already own the hardware and the software, the entry cost is your time. Qualifying opens Sunday, so the move this week is boring and useful: update GSPro to the beta, confirm your SGT account is linked, and hit a few test shots before November 1.

If you are still shopping, the Uneekor EYE MINI deal page tracks the live price across retailers. The phone app is one more reason the portable EYE MINI, rather than the stay-put LITE, is the pick for golfers who split time between the range and the home bay.
