Bushnell Launch Pro vs Foresight GC3: Same hardware, different bill

Three cameras either way. Club data is included on one and rented on the other, and that changes the whole bill.

Bushnell Golf

The takeaway is this. The Bushnell Launch Pro and the Foresight GC3 are the same three camera box, and they measure the same shots. The difference is not accuracy. It is how you pay for club data, and how long you plan to keep paying.

That matters more in 2026 than it used to, because the old version of this comparison is out of date. It used to read: GC3, buy once, no subscription; Launch Pro, pay less up front, subscribe forever. Foresight has since moved both units onto its Foresight+ membership for software, courses, and third party connections. The GC3 still has one specific advantage: club data is included on its free tier, while the Launch Pro charges for it.

The shared hardware, stated plainly

Both units use Foresight's Triscopic system, three high speed cameras that photograph the ball and the club at impact. Both sit about two feet beside the ball, indoors and outdoors, with a built in screen and battery. You read numbers on the unit without a PC, and you need a Windows PC only when you move to simulator play.

Both measure the same data, when fully unlocked:

  • Ball data: ball speed, carry distance, launch angle, horizontal launch angle, total spin, back spin, side spin, and spin tilt axis
  • Club data: club head speed, smash factor, club path, and angle of attack

Club data needs a marker dot on the clubface. Ball data does not need marked balls. Neither unit measures face angle, loft, lie, or impact location. Those start with the GCQuad, a much more expensive unit, and no subscription tier on either of these boxes adds them.

The third camera is the point of this whole comparison. Foresight's two camera GC2 measures ball data only, and no club data at any price. The third camera here is what makes club measurement possible. If you do not care about club data, you do not need this hardware at all. Our GC2 review and our ball data vs club data guide cover that fork in full.

Do not confuse the Launch Pro with the Launch Pro Indoor, sold as the LPi. That is a separate indoor only model, not a cheaper version of this same unit.

The upfront prices, as of Oct 27, 2026

  • Bushnell Launch Pro Circle B: $2,999.99 at Bushnell Golf, as of Oct 27, 2026
  • Foresight GC3: $3,999 on Foresight's specials page, as of Oct 27, 2026, down from a $6,999 list price

Treat that as a sale, not a permanent price. No end date is published, and some retailers still list the GC3 at $6,999. Check our Launch Pro deal page and our GC3 deal page for the live price before you buy.

At the sale price, the GC3 costs $999.01 more up front than the Launch Pro. At list price, it costs $3,999.01 more. Keep both numbers in mind, because the rest of this post depends on which GC3 price you actually pay.

Where the two bills diverge, and where they do not

Foresight+ has three tiers, per year, on both units:

  • Free: $0. Core data in the Foresight app and in Foresight Premier on PC, with 10 sessions of history.
  • Silver: $199. Unlimited history, practice drills, dispersion views, and eligibility to add a Course Pass.
  • Gold: $599. Everything in Silver, plus swing video, multiple profiles, and third party software access, including GSPro.

Course passes stack on top of Silver or Gold. Course Pass is $295 a year for 35 courses. Course Pass Pro is $595 a year for the full library. GSPro is a separate $250 a year license on top of Gold.

The one place the units split is club data on the free tier. On the GC3, ball and club data are included on Free. On the Launch Pro, Free shows ball data only, and club data needs Silver at $199 a year. That single rule drives every total below.

If you only want club data for practice

This is the only route where the gap narrows, because only the Launch Pro side pays an annual fee.

  • Year 1: Launch Pro $2,999.99 plus $199 Silver is $3,198.99. GC3 at the sale price is $3,999. GC3 at list is $6,999.
  • Year 2 total: Launch Pro $3,397.99. GC3 at the sale price is still $3,999. GC3 at list is still $6,999.
  • Year 5 total: Launch Pro $3,994.99. GC3 at the sale price is $3,999.

Our take: at the sale price, the two routes meet after about five years of Silver payments, and the GC3 pulls ahead only after that. At list price, the Launch Pro stays cheaper for roughly 20 years of Silver, which is longer than anyone should plan a purchase around. If practice numbers are the whole job, and the GC3 sale is live when you buy, the GC3 is the cleaner long term buy. If the sale ends, the Launch Pro wins that same job for years.

If you play courses in Foresight Premier

Both units pay the same memberships here, so the upfront gap never closes.

  • Silver plus Course Pass, $494 a year: Year 1 is $3,493.99 for the Launch Pro, $4,493 at the GC3 sale price, and $7,493 at GC3 list. Year 2 is $3,987.99, $4,987, and $7,987.
  • Gold plus Course Pass Pro, $1,194 a year: Year 1 is $4,193.99 for the Launch Pro, $5,193 at the GC3 sale price, and $8,193 at GC3 list.

The GC3's included club data buys you nothing extra on this route, because you are already paying for Silver or Gold anyway. Pay the lower upfront price, unless you want the Foresight support route or the extras in the GC3 box, such as the sling bag.

If you play GSPro

This is the route where the old comparison misleads most. Both new units need Gold at $599 a year for third party access, plus GSPro at $250 a year, for $849 a year in software. Owners with an older perpetual Foresight license may connect differently, but a new buyer should budget the full $849.

  • Year 1: Launch Pro $3,848.99. GC3 at the sale price $4,848. GC3 at list $7,848.
  • Year 2 total: Launch Pro $4,697.99. GC3 at the sale price $5,697. GC3 at list $8,697.

The gap stays exactly $999.01 at the sale price, and $3,999.01 at list, forever, because both sides pay the same $849 every year. For a GSPro player, the GC3 is simply the Launch Pro plus $999, or plus $3,999, for the same shots. That is a hard sell unless the GC3 sale price drops further or you value the Foresight brand route itself.

Verdict by buyer

Our take, in plain terms:

  • Buy the Launch Pro if you play GSPro or Foresight courses. You get the same hardware and the same shots, and you keep the upfront saving every year, because the annual fees are identical. Start on Silver if you only need club data and practice tools, and move to Gold only when GSPro or swing video enters the plan.
  • Buy the GC3 at the $3,999 sale price if practice numbers are the job and you plan to keep the unit more than five years. Club data with no annual fee is a genuine advantage, and it is the only route where the GC3 catches up. Set a reminder that the sale price is not guaranteed, and confirm it is still live before you order.
  • Buy the GC3 at $6,999 list only if you specifically want the Foresight direct route and the included extras, and you accept paying thousands more for the same measurements. On numbers alone, list price does not win any route in this post.
  • Buy neither, and look at the GC2, if you only need ball data. Paying for a third camera you never use is the same overspend as paying for club data you never open.

One last check: the Launch Pro is sold as a US product, so buyers outside the US should confirm availability before assuming the same deal applies. On both units, simulator play needs a Windows gaming PC, which is not in the box price.
